
DR. STEPHANIE DEIGHTON
Dr. Stephanie Deighton is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She
provides assessment for children, adolescents and young adults with learning, social, emotional
and/or behavioural difficulties. She specializes in neuropsychology assessments for children and
adolescents, and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Deighton completed her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Calgary and
completed her clinical psychology residency (with a focus in neuropsychology assessment and
programming) at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. After completing her graduate training in
clinical psychology, Dr. Deighton undertook just under a year of clinical postdoctoral training in
pediatric neuropsychology at Alberta Children’s Hospital before starting a position as a staff
neuropsychologist at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. As part of her role there, she conducts
neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments with children and adolescents in a
variety of clinics. Dr. Deighton has also conducted extensive research in pediatric traumatic brain
injury (TBI) and has published research in this area.
