Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that our office is situated on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, which includes the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations; the Stoney Nakoda Nations, comprising the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley Nations; and the Tsuut’ina Nation. This land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. Calgary, known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, is a gathering place where the Bow and Elbow Rivers meet.

We honor the original stewards of this land and recognize the enduring relationship that Indigenous Peoples have with their territories. In the spirit of reconciliation, we commit to learning from and with Indigenous communities, and to taking actionable steps toward reconciliation.
