DR. MAGDALEN SCHLUTER
Dr. Magdalen Schluter is a registered provisional psychologist with training and experience in psychological assessment and psychotherapy. She provides treatment services to adults and assessment of adolescents and adults.
Magdalen believes that each client deserves a tailored approach to treatment. She works primarily from a cognitive-behavioural framework and integrates evidence-based principles from a variety of therapy models to provide flexible and individualized treatment.
Dr. Schluter completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Calgary, and she completed her clinical psychology residency with Alberta Health Services. She has over six years combined experience conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments in forensic, inpatient, and outpatient settings. She is also experienced in completing assessments for disability and treatment with RCMP and Canadian Armed Forces clients.
She has substantial training and experience in treating a broad range of mental health (e.g., depression, anxiety, life transition, self-esteem), and health (e.g., sleep) concerns. She also specializes in addictions and trauma-related disorders (e.g., PTSD) and enjoys working with military, RCMP, and other first responders.
