Dr. Deborah Dobson, Ph.D., is a psychologist who has worked in both the public and private health systems in Calgary. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. She was the Director of Clinical Training for the Calgary Clinical Psychology Residency from 2008 to 2013. Dr. Dobson has served on the Board of the Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region, including as its’ President and was the Chair of the Clinical Section for the Canadian Psychological Association from 2007 to 2008. She is a Founding Member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapies and has served on its’ Board in several different capacities. She is a Diplomate with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and has certification in cognitive behavioural therapy. Her professional interests include client access to empirically supported treatments, clinical training, consumer advocacy, and cognitive-behavioral therapies for anxiety and depression.
