DR. CHRISTINE KNIGHT

In addition to conducting assessments at Mandel and Associates, Dr. Knight is a psychologist with Geriatric Mental Health – Alberta Health Services, where she provides assessment, diagnostic and treatment services to older adults presenting with complex psychiatric and medical co-morbidities, including physical disability, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder and suspected cognitive impairment or dementia. She has extensive experience acting as a regional resource, working in partnership with, and providing consultation to clients, families, and physicians and to professional and para-professional staff along the continuum of health care, including outreach, day treatment, inpatient psychiatric units, medical and rehabilitation units, supported housing and long-term care. She received her B.A. in Psychology from McGill University, a joint M.Sc. in Applied Psychology and Gerontology from the University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Lakehead University. Dr. Knight also conducts research and program evaluation, and as well teaches and provides clinical supervision to graduate students in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. She maintains active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
