
DR. ALLAN MANDEL
Dr. Allan Mandel, Ph.D., R. Psych., has been President of Mandel & Associates since its inception in 1997. He is a registered psychologist with more than 28 years of clinical and management experience, particularly within the fields of rehabilitation psychology and psychological assessment. He is a highly sought-after expert witness by both defense and plaintiff lawyers, mainly in the area of vocational assessment.
He has provided expert vocational assessments for the Court of Queen’s Bench in Alberta since 1990, and since 1997 he has conducted and overseen assessments provided by Mandel & Associates for Alberta Health Services and for the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped program (Alberta Seniors and Community Supports). As a reflection of his reputation within the legal community, he was asked to provide expert testimony within a recent constitutional challenge related to insurance regulations in the province of Alberta.
In addition to his role as President of Mandel & Associates, Dr. Mandel is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Calgary, where his primary role involves teaching psychological assessment techniques to graduate students.
