Enhancing Access to Specialized Assessments for School Jurisdictions

To address issues around accessing specialized assessments caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Alberta Education has entered into an agreement with Mandel & Associates to coordinate specialized assessments on behalf of school jurisdictions across the province.

Public, separate, francophone and public charter school jurisdictions are eligible to submit an application for children/students requiring assessments who were not able to receive an assessment during the pandemic and have been waiting for an assessment for more than six months as of June 30, 2022.

To apply for an assessment, please download and complete the specialized assessment referral application form and e-mail it to Jasmine Rule at j.rule@mandelassociates.com. One form should be completed for each child requiring an assessment. Referrals can only be made by schools or school jurisdiction.
